Your Shelby Financials software has a clean and easy to use interface. Please review the information in this section to familiarize yourself with the various means of navigating the systems. Some areas can be customized for each user based on their unique roles.

Click the Notification icon to view important messages, release information, and more.
Hover over the Applications link on the Top menu and select which application you want to work in. Once you are in a specific application, the top menu changes to display the options that are available for that application.
Click on the Applications link on the Top menu to return to the Financials dashboard. There are specific Security Setup options and Utilities that can only be accessed from the Financials dashboard.
The Security Setup menu has the options to modify Account Rights Roles, Task Roles, or Users. The Utilities menu has options to for your main Organization page, Email Configuration, Lookups, Payment Providers, and Combine Duplicates.
The Current Financial Settings allows you to change the current Company, Fiscal Year, Period, Bank Account, and Credit Card for your user within the program.
The current settings are used when performing most functions. Click the change link at the top right within any application to display the Current Financial Settings window. Make your selections using the drop-down lists and click the OK button to change the current settings or the Cancel link to return to the previous page.
Selecting a closed Fiscal Year as your current setting prohibits you from posting any transactions or entries until the setting is changed. |
Settings are stored on a per-user basis so each user can have their own current settings. You can change these settings at any time within any application.
Within the program there are different areas where you can use keyboard shortcuts.
For any date field within the program you can press "s" to display the calendar or "t" to insert the current date. You can also click the Calendar icon (or press <Ctrl>+<Home>) to access the calendar. Once the calendar is on the screen, the following keyboard shortcuts are available:

On any page with multiple tabs you can use keyboard shortcuts for tab navigation. To do so, press <Alt> + the number of the tab to which you wish to navigate. This also sets the focus to the first item on that tab. For example, on the following page you can press <Alt>+<3> to access the notes tab and set the focus there:
My Tasks is a part of the right navigation panel that allows you to quickly navigate to areas of the program you access frequently. Click the Add To My Tasks link in any application to add that page to My Tasks.
The My Tasks area contains tasks from all applications. Click any task to go directly to that page. Click the Show/Hide Delete Icons icon to display the Remove icons by items in the list. Click a Remove icon to be prompted to remove an item from the list.
My Reports is a part of the right navigation panel that allows you to quickly navigate to reports you run frequently. Click the Add To My Reports link in any application to add that report page to My Reports.
